A mob from the aggrieved minority community attacked the house of the Congress MLA, R Akhanda Srinivas Murthy, leading to police lathicharge and massive arrests. Several persons have been injured in the attack, and over 150 persons have been arrested in this connection, police said on Wednesday. The incidents were centered around Pulikeshi Nagar.
The nephew denied knowledge of the post, and claimed his account was hacked. However, until the trouble erupted, he had not made any such complaint.
