NEW DELHI: There will be no early resumption of international flight services, which are remaining mostly suspended since the March last week. The operations will not be resumed till July end, the Director General of Civil Aviation has announced. It said partial resumption is likely after some time.
Domestic and international flights are operational now to mainly ferry stranded people from state to state, and NRIs seeking urgent return from the Gulf, Europe, the US etc. The Covid situation remains bad in India as also the rest of the world, though the lockdown imposed on the nation from March 25 has been lifted in part in a phased manner.
The aviation sector remains the worst affected, while train services have been restored partially. Bus services have resumed almost everywhere. IHN-NN
