NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that he is planning to withdraw from his social media platforms. The PM, in a tweet, gave no reason for his exit, but said he might do so on coming Sunday. “This Sunday, thinking of giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube,” the PM tweeted, and added, “Will keep you all posted (about my plan).”

The Prime Minister is the most=followed leader on Facebook and Instagram, with 44million followers for his Facebook page and 35.2million followers on Instagram. This apart, on YouTube, he has 4.5million subscribers, drawing the envy of those like US President Donald Trump.
