KHARTOUM/NEW DELHI: Nearly 20 Indian nationals were among the about 30 persons killed in a factory blast in Bahri area of the Sudanese capital on Tuesday, Indian diplomats quoting local officials in the restive African nation said on Wednesday.
The blast occurred in Seela Ceramics. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that the Indian diplomatic mission in Sudan has been advised to render all assistance to the Indians involved in the mishap.
“Anguished by the blast,” the PM said. Officials said the LPG cylinders at the ceramics unit exploded, resulting in a huge fire and death to many. –Agencies, IHN-NN
