TVM: Senior politician and former Union minister Arif Mohammad Khan took over as Kerala Governor at a solemn function at Raj Bhavan here on Friday. The oath was administered to the new governor by Kerala high court Chief Justice Risikesh Roy. AM Khan took the oath in Malayalam.
Present at the event were Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Assembly speaker T Sreeramakrishnan, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, chief secretary Tom Jose, Khan’s wife Reshma, state ministers and senior officials. The governor has a five-year term.
