JOLT TO CONG … Ex-Haryana CM Hooda says Modi did right thing in Kashmir, Cong lost way

NEW DELHI: The Congress party experienced a jolt on Sunday when former Haryana chief minister Bhupindra Singh Hooda backed the Modi government’s Kashmir policy and said the Congress party lacked proper leadership and has “lost its way.” He said he hailed from a family of patriots.

Hooda’s comment came at a rally of his supporters in Rhotak. The two-term CM said Congress was no more the Congress it used to be. Hooda is not happy with the state party leadership and is likely in a mood to browbeat the central leadership. He also criticised the BJP chief minister Manoharlal Khattar, saying the government was not able to perform. The Congress party is now facing a serious erosion in its ranks.
