SORRY, AGAIN … Rahul Gandhi tells apex court, again: YES I APOLOGISE

NEW DELHI: Congress president Rahul Gandhi was at it again. He apologised to the Supreme Court, yet again, for wrongly making a statement “chowkidar chor hai” statement to the court. The case, thereon was scheduled for hearing on May 10, along with the Rafale case review petitions pending before the CJI. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had tendered a regret, but the court asked for clear apology.

Thereon, an apology submitted to the apex court on Rahul Gandhi’s behalf on Wednesday said, “The deponent unconditionally apologises for the wrongful attributions to the Supreme Court. The deponent further states that any such attribution (was) entirely unintentional, non-wilful and inadvertent.”

The Congress leader had earlier sent a message to court, expressing regret, by way of an indirect expression of apology. The court was not pleased.  On April 30, the court said Rahul Gandhi should offer a clear-cut apology or face consequences.

Earlier, BJP spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi had filed a complaint against the Congress president for his loose-tongued statements against PM Modi. IHN=NN
